Opportunities: how the score works

Opportunities are suggestions, not ranking promises. Nice Rank identifies them from Search Console queries in positions 8–20 with enough impressions, high-priority audit findings and listing mismatches. Each opportunity shows its supporting evidence.

Use the score to decide where a review might be useful. It is not a guarantee that a change will produce a particular result. The evidence matters because it explains why the item is being suggested to the team.

Search guidance is most helpful when it supports a thoughtful next step rather than a promise about performance. Look at the evidence behind a number, connect it to the business question you are trying to answer and keep the resulting work practical. The goal is a clearer priority and a more useful page, not an isolated metric.

How to approach it

  1. 01

    Open the opportunity

Read the evidence shown for the query, audit finding or listing mismatch.

  2. 02

    Check business relevance

Confirm that the suggestion fits a service, customer question or local detail that matters.

  3. 03

    Choose the right response

Create a useful next step, or leave the item for later if the context is not right.
