Segments
Segments update themselves and show who can be emailed and who can be texted. Use them to group contacts by the business context that matters while keeping separate channel consent visible.
A segment is not permission by itself. Before sending, Nice Rank uses the current channel eligibility in the contact database. That makes segments useful for planning messages without losing the consent rules that protect each channel.
Campaign work is easier to trust when every message begins with a clear purpose and the right contact context. Keep email and text choices separate, use the shared contact record before you send and make the next follow-up useful to the person receiving it. A considered audience is more valuable than simply sending to the largest possible list.
How to approach it
- 01
Choose the business context
Group contacts around a service, location or other useful context for the message.
- 02
Review channel eligibility
Check which people in the segment can receive email and which can receive text.
- 03
Use the segment for the right channel
Prepare the message only for the contacts currently eligible in that channel.
